Learning & Development at the Center of Our Culture and Practices.

We are curious and we love to learn, which is why you get access to paid trainings, certifications and conference attendance as part of your development plan. Together with your manager, you set your own learning budget and get access to a vast variety of learning resources through a centralized learning platform.

We also facilitate learning through mentorship, coaching, shadowing, Communities of Practice (CoPs), live and online workshops and Knowledge Sharing Sessions (KSS), held regularly by our colleagues and guest speakers.

We use OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) framework for goal setting, which ensures everyone is on the same page in terms of the performance expected. You work alongside your manager to set goals and work towards executing the agreed plan, while gaining new knowledge and experience.

People managers have regular 1:1 meetings with their team members to ensure clear expectations are set, to exchange feedback, and actively listen and support. Above and beyond performance is awarded, and we also love to promote from within whenever there is the opportunity and a right fit.

All our leaders go through Devtech Leadership Development program consisting of many trainings including SLII® by The Ken Blanchard Companies, the most widely used leadership training program in the world.

One of our core focus areas company-wide is nurturing an environment where team members can actively develop and grow, which is why leaders are supported in their roles to develop people and coach them to achieve their performance objectives and career goals.

Our R&D

Research & Development (R&D) plays a vital role in shaping Devtech’s future, by providing valuable insight in technology innovations and aligning them to our strategic business goals. R&D department is responsible for driving innovation in products, processes and knowledge sharing by overseeing:

New Product (IP) Development
The main goal of our R&D is to create intellectual property – a next gen software product ready for the market. Our employees can utilise Devtech Lab, equipped with IoT sensors, 3d printers, AR/VR sets, etc. to experiment, learn and build innovative IoT and AI products. In addition to developing IP, our R&D drives innovation in existing products, speeds up and automates development processes, increases quality, etc.
Product Ideas Execution
Devtech Incubator helps our employees execute their tech product ideas by providing step-by-step support throughout the process of transferring ideas into products, including creating proof of concept, an MVP, etc. All our employees also have an opportunity to have their idea funded, receiving support for building their dream product and launching their own product start-up.
Knowledge Sharing
Capturing what we already learned, sharing our expert domain knowledge, and ensuring the quality of our software is on a constant rise is important to us. R&D provides procedures for documenting and storing our domain and technical knowledge, researches and gains new knowledge useful for future projects and shares it with our team members.
Onboarding & Upskilling
R&D also helps us bring our new or existing employees up to speed with technology innovations, new programming languages or domain knowledge. We provide sandboxes, knowledge base material and mentors, for our employees to gain new knowledge at their own pace.
