Overview

Traditional telecom revenue streams are being disrupted, so this large, part-state owned telecom, decided to launch a new Digital Unit with a goal to stay ahead of the competition and drive higher average revenue per user (ARPU) across their millions of SME customers.

With a very aggressive timeline of just 7 months to launch the new business unit and a complete offering of cloud and digital services in the new marketplace, this telecom required an agile digital innovation partner capable of executing a complete end-to-end integration project; on time and on budget.

Paving the Way for a Digital Marketplace

Aiming to launch a comprehensive digital marketplace, the telecom faced the significant challenge of integrating a diverse array of ISV SaaS products to create a seamless user experience across various platforms, specifically tailored to the needs of their small and medium business (SMB) segment. In alignment with the telecom’s ambitious goals, Devtech rose to the occasion, successfully executing several parallel integration initiatives that met and supported the telecom’s strategic objectives.

Seamless Integration

Our team developed bespoke, end-to-end integrations for six different ISV SaaS products, which formed the cornerstone of the telecom’s initial offerings in their new digital marketplace. The integration process was overhauled to ensure consistent, repeatable results, leading to a design that encapsulated a comprehensive solution.

The technical enablement and integration were coupled with a rigorous quality assurance process, detailed documentation, and thorough training programs to ensure a smooth transition and usability.

Furthermore, we meticulously designed user experience (UX) flows to create a unified omni-channel experience across different platform touchpoints. This UX consideration was pivotal in providing a coherent and intuitive interface for the telecom’s end users.

Impact

The culmination of these efforts enabled an upsell and cross-sell strategy within the telecom’s entire SMB segment. This strategy not only drove a higher Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) but also delivered cloud services that increased customer retention by making their offerings more integral, or ‘stickier’, to their customers.
